Pentland Gate CIC was founded by three local mums who share a common goal: to make family life a little easier and a lot more connected. Between us, we’ve navigated shift work, childcare challenges, and the everyday balancing act that so many parents face.

In playground conversations and community groups, we heard the same stories again and again — of logistical stress, limited childcare options, and families stretched to their limits. We also saw the impact on children, particularly those with additional needs or fewer opportunities for enrichment and play.

So, we decided to do something about it.

Pentland Gate CIC is a community interest company dedicated to creating affordable, flexible, and inclusive childcare and transport solutions that reflect the real needs of modern families. Our approach blends care, creativity, and connection, supporting both parents and children to thrive.

We’re building more than a service. We’re building a support system. One that starts with our own community and grows from there.
