At Pentland Gate CIC, we believe care should work with families - not against them - and every family deserves a village. Founded by three local parents who understand the daily juggle of work, childcare, and community life, we’re creating practical, community-rooted solutions that help families thrive. From wraparound childcare to innovative active travel programmes, we’re rethinking what modern family support looks like: affordable, flexible, and built for real life.

Help Power the Bike Bus
We’re looking for friendly, reliable people to help bring the Mauricewood Bike Bus to life.
Whether you’re a parent, local resident, or just passionate about community and active travel, there’s a role for you. From riding alongside children to helping with safe drop-offs and snack distribution, you’ll play a part in creating calmer mornings and stronger connections for local families.
No previous experience is needed. Full training is provided, and you’ll be supported every step of the way.
We also might soon have a small number of paid Cycle Leader roles available for those looking to take on a more regular, structured position leading routes and supporting the programme.
